How It Works

We’ll start with a phone consultation where we can talk about your dog, your goals, and what you’re hoping to accomplish through training. It’s a relaxed conversation where you can ask me anything about my program, how the training works, and what you can expect along the way. It also gives me a chance to get to know you and your dog better so we can make sure my program is the right fit for your needs.

If we determine that the program is a good fit for you and your dog, the next step is to complete the online training agreement and submit a 10% deposit. Once both are completed, your dog’s training dates will be officially reserved.

On your scheduled start date, you’ll bring your dog to my home in West Omaha for drop-off. We’ll take a few minutes to review your dog’s routine, discuss any last-minute questions or concerns, and make sure I have everything needed for their stay. From there, I’ll help your dog get settled into their new environment and begin the training process.

Throughout your dog’s training program, I’ll provide weekly progress updates so you can follow their development, see what we’re working on, and stay informed about their progress each step of the way.

At the four-week mark, you and your family will come to my home for a comprehensive three-hour training session. During this session, we’ll cover the training principles and techniques used throughout the program, proper leash handling and communication, and the fundamentals of maintaining your dog’s training at home. This session is designed to give everyone in the household the knowledge and confidence needed to stay consistent and successfully continue the training once your dog returns home.

At the end of the six-week program, I’ll personally bring your dog back to your home for an in-depth, three-to-four-hour take-home session. During this session, I’ll teach you how to properly maintain your dog’s off-leash training, including safe and effective use of the e-collar.
We’ll work with your dog in and around your home and neighborhood, gradually introducing real-world distractions and situations you’ll encounter in everyday life. This is one of the most important parts of the program, as we dedicate the time necessary to transfer the training from me to you and ensure you feel confident maintaining the same standards, communication, and reliability moving forward.

Once the program is complete, you’ll continue to have lifetime training support whenever questions or challenges arise. Your dog will leave the program trained to a high standard, but long-term success depends on consistency at home. Maintaining the structure, expectations, and techniques you’ve learned will be essential to preserving your dog’s training and reliability for years to come.

Going on vacation or need a trusted place for your dog to stay? Once your dog completes my training program, you’ll have exclusive access to alumni boarding. Instead of staying at a large, crowded boarding facility, your dog can stay with me in a familiar, structured environment where their training, routines, and expectations are maintained throughout their stay.
